Sketchbook Pro is the premiere application for aspiring digital artists. The application replicates a variety of tools available to the artist with a range of controls for controlling and fine tuning your marks. There are three main components to Sketchbook Pro:
Toolbars Sketchbook Pro features toolbars on the left, right, and top of the drawing page. To left is where you will find different brushes, including pen, pencil, airbrush, and textures. On the right hand side, you can access pre-selected color swatches or tap a colored circle at the top to access tools for customizing your colors. Along the top, you will find preferences, a help menu, and different ways to control your drawing and painting tools, such as the line, shape and symmetry tools, layers, and an advanced menu of options for textures, patterns, and pre-fabricated images.
Touch Interface The application takes advantage of the touchscreen interface, implementing swipes and gestures to quickly access toolbars or to control opacity and brush size.
Multifaceted Sketchbook Pro is multifaceted because it offers a wide range of drawing and painting applications that allow you to focus on fine linear renderings, as well as painted applications of color and texture. The layers feature also enables you to plan out your work in stages and even work photography into your overall design.
